Dream limit reached for Boden - top 50 in the country

Confederation of Swedish Enterprise's annual survey on the business climate was published on Wednesday. Boden continues to climb up the national rankings and passes a long-awaited level.

The result shows that Boden continues to improve - a full 24 places - from place 68 to place 44. This means that Boden is once again the municipality in Norrbotten with the best business climate and that a partial goal has been achieved. A stated ambition that has existed since 2018 when the municipality passed place 100 – to get into the top 50 list.

Every year, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise measures roughly 30,000 companies' experiences of running companies in their municipalities. The responses from the survey provide an image of how the business climate is perceived by the companies. The result is then combined with five statistical factors to form a ranking that makes it possible to compare Sweden's 290 municipalities.

In eight years, Boden has gone from place 274 to 44 and stands out among the county's other municipalities.

- It is incredibly gratifying that we succeed in reaching the goal of being among the 50 best municipalities in the country. In Boden, we have together managed to create a strong dialogue between the municipality, our entrepreneurs and many more besides. The corporate culture we are developing is a success factor in the extensive industrial and social transformation we have now entered into. Now we are going to set a new interim goal, and that is that we in Boden shall continue to maintain this high level and that we shall take over the leadership shirt from Timrå and have the best business climate in the whole of Norrland, says Claes Nordmark, municipal councillor.

- As the head of the municipality and business sector, I am of course hugely proud of our performance. It is hard and purposeful work that continues to yield results. It is particularly positive and gratifying that we see a positive development both in theConfederation of Swedish Enterprise's survey and in Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' insight survey. Now we will continue our joint development work by making Boden attractive to our entrepreneurs, says Mats Berg, head of municipality and business.
